StarBoard Software is a program to work with StarBoard's hardware products. The company produces interactive whiteboards and displays that can be used in real and virtual classrooms, conference rooms, work presentations, and so on.
The program is specifically designed to work with the company's products. Nevertheless, it is possible to try it before purchasing any of the solutions offered by the company. It is really simple to use. In fact, it is very akin to some MS Office programs such as PowerPoint. It has different tools to work with. The most basic is the pencil, which allows you to make annotations directly on the whiteboard, for which you will need the required hardware.
However, when testing it, you can use your computer's mouse to try this function. The program includes options to insert media files, clipart, documents, flash files, and work with them as you would if you were using a physical whiteboard, that is, you can erase, underline, highlight, overlap, and so on. The program has plenty of functions to work with.
Please note that the software package is stored in Dropbox so you will need an account to download it. Also, it is in the .zip format, so you will need to unzip it before installing it. Besides, take into account that the installation file is rather heavy, so make sure that you have enough disk space before trying to download it.
